Sometimes it's hard to get a printed part to stick properly to the print bed. This may be due to the design of the object, the type of filament you are using and the settings that you are using.
How to fix it
Adding a raft to your print may be the perfect solution! A raft is a flat surface printed underneath your design that your object is then printed onto. This layer of filament helps small and intricate parts set easier and stay attached where they might warp when just using the print bed. Rafts are easy to remove as well, since a small air gap is left between the raft and the actual object you are printing, allowing for quick and easy removal.
1. Open MatterControl and select an object to print.
2. Navigate to the “Settings & Controls” > “SETTINGS” menu and select “General” > “Raft/Priming”.
3. Click the checkbox next to “Create raft”.
4. You can also change how far you want the raft to extend from the part and the size of the air gap between the raft and your printed object. The smaller the air gap, the more difficult it is to remove the raft and vice versa. A good starting point is ½ of your nozzle diameter.
