The wires of your 3D printer are obviously an essential component, as they allow for the flow of electrical current to power the motors and heat the extruder. If the wires become unplugged or damaged in any way, you may experience issues with your printer and some components may not work at all.
How to fix it
If you are experiencing power related issues, first make sure that your printer is powered off and unplugged before running through these steps:
- Check if all wires have been plugged in correctly at both ends.
- Check the pins at both ends of all wires for any signs of damage (bent or missing pins).
- Examine the lengths of the wires for any damage to the shielding and/or any possible internal damage (bent or pinched wires).
- If a serious fault is found, don’t use the printer and raise a support request with us.
